Child Safety Standards

Met Outside

Effective Date: October 20, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

Met Outside is a social platform designed for adults aged 18 and older to discover, organize, and participate in real-world gatherings and shared experiences.

We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for our community and protecting children from sexual abuse, exploitation, and other forms of harm.

Met Outside maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content, communication, or conduct that facilitates, promotes, depicts, or otherwise contributes to the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited.

These standards apply to all users and all activity conducted through the Met Outside platform.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Met Outside strictly prohibits:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Creating, uploading, sharing, distributing, soliciting, or otherwise facilitating access to visual or other material depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
  • Sexual Exploitation of Minors: Any conduct involving the sexual abuse, exploitation, coercion, trafficking, or attempted exploitation of individuals under 18 years of age.
  • Grooming and Solicitation: Using the platform to establish contact with, manipulate, solicit, or otherwise target minors for sexual purposes.
  • Sexualization of Minors: Content or communications that sexually exploit or depict minors in an abusive or exploitative manner.
  • Facilitation of Abuse: Organizing, promoting, or facilitating gatherings, communications, or other activities intended to enable child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Attempts to Circumvent Safety Measures: Using false identities, misleading information, or other methods to evade platform restrictions or facilitate prohibited conduct.

These restrictions apply to all user-generated content and platform interactions, including user profiles, photographs, gathering descriptions, comments, and messages.

Violations of these standards may result in content removal, account suspension or termination, and referral to appropriate authorities when required by law.

3. Age Eligibility and Restrictions

Met Outside is intended exclusively for individuals who are at least 18 years old.

Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to create accounts or use the platform.

Users must provide accurate information when registering and must not misrepresent their age or identity to circumvent eligibility requirements.

Met Outside reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts reasonably believed to belong to individuals who do not meet the platform's minimum age requirement.

4. Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Met Outside encourages users to report suspected child sexual abuse, exploitation, or other conduct that may endanger minors.

Users may report concerning content or interactions through the reporting features available within the platform.

Reports may involve, among other things:

  • Suspected CSAM or sexual exploitation of minors.
  • Inappropriate or exploitative communications involving minors.
  • Attempts to solicit or groom minors.
  • Gatherings or activities that may facilitate child exploitation.
  • Other suspected violations of these Child Safety Standards.

Users may also report child safety concerns directly by contacting:

Child Safety Contact: contact@metoutside.com

When submitting a report, users should provide sufficient information to help identify the relevant account, gathering, message, or incident.

Users should not download, reproduce, or redistribute suspected CSAM when making a report.

If a child is in immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services or the appropriate law enforcement authority.

5. Review, Moderation, and Enforcement

Met Outside may review reports of suspected violations of these Child Safety Standards and take action based on the information available, the severity of the reported conduct, and applicable legal requirements.

Where appropriate, enforcement actions may include:

  • Removing or restricting access to prohibited content.
  • Restricting access to platform features.
  • Suspending or permanently terminating accounts.
  • Taking measures to prevent continued misuse of the platform.
  • Preserving or disclosing relevant information when legally required or permitted.
  • Reporting suspected illegal conduct to appropriate authorities when required by applicable law.

Met Outside reserves the right to take action against conduct that threatens the safety of minors, even when such conduct is not expressly described in these standards.

Enforcement decisions may consider the nature and seriousness of the reported conduct, available evidence, and applicable legal obligations.

6. Cooperation With Law Enforcement and Child Protection Authorities

Met Outside recognizes the importance of cooperation with appropriate authorities in addressing child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Where required by applicable law, Met Outside will report suspected child sexual abuse material or related unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) when applicable.

Met Outside may also cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement agencies and other authorized child protection organizations, subject to applicable privacy, data protection, and legal requirements.

Nothing in these standards limits Met Outside's ability to take appropriate action to protect users or comply with applicable legal obligations.

7. User Responsibilities

All Met Outside users are expected to contribute to a safe and respectful community.

Users must:

  • Comply with these Child Safety Standards and all applicable laws.
  • Refrain from creating, sharing, soliciting, or facilitating prohibited content or conduct.
  • Report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation through available reporting channels.
  • Avoid engaging in conduct that could place minors at risk.
  • Refrain from retaliating against individuals who submit good-faith safety reports.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their activities on the platform comply with Met Outside's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, where applicable.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

These Child Safety Standards supplement Met Outside's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other applicable platform policies.

In the event of a conflict between these standards and another platform policy, the provision offering greater protection against child sexual abuse and exploitation will apply to the extent permitted by law.

These standards do not replace or limit any obligations imposed by applicable laws or regulations.

9. Updates to These Standards

Met Outside may update these Child Safety Standards to reflect changes in applicable law, platform functionality, safety practices, or regulatory requirements.

Updates will be published on this page, together with a revised effective date when appropriate.

Continued use of the platform following an update is subject to the applicable Terms of Service and relevant legal requirements.
